GLOW | Netflix | Premieres June 23
GLOW tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women’s wrestling. In addition to working with 12 Hollywood misfits, Ruth also has to compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin) a former soap actress who left the business to have a baby, only to be sucked back into work when her picture perfect life is not what it seems. And at the wheel is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a washed-up, B-movie director who now must lead this group of women on the journey to wrestling stardom.

I’M SORRY | TruTV | Premieres July 12, 10pm
Created by and starring Andrea Savage (Veep, Episodes, Sleeping with Other People), this half-hour scripted series follows seemingly confident comedy writer, wife and mom Andrea (played by Savage), who comically exposes her inner immaturity and neuroses through unexpected life situations. Joining Savage in the first season are series regulars Tom Everett Scott (Southland) as Andrea’s straitlaced husband, Mike; and newcomer Olive Petrucci as Andrea and Mike’s inquisitive daughter, Amelia.

MARVEL’S THE DEFENDERS | Netflix | Premiers August 18

THE MIST | Spike | Premieres June 22, 10pm
Based on a story by Stephen King, Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.

THE SINNER | USA | Premieres August 2, 10pm
An eight episode limited series, “The Sinner” follows a young mother (Jessica Biel) who, when on a day trip with her husband (Christopher Abbott) and son, commits a startling act of violence and, to her horror, has no idea why. The event launches an inverted and utterly surprising crime thriller whose driving force is not the “who” or the “what” — but the “why.” When an investigator (Bill Pullman) finds himself obsessed with uncovering the woman’s buried motive, together they travel a harrowing journey into the depths of her psyche and the violent secrets hidden in her past.
